Today Michelle should be celebrating her birthday with friends and family but sadly over 7 years ago she sadly passed away.

With kind permission from Michelle’s family we pay tribute to a lady who many of us knew and who supported us when we first started #ShareYourWishes as she waited for a liver transplant.

Michelle’s mum Gilly, said to us: “Life with out my sunshine and inspiration is tough ,and seeing my other daughters and grandchildren suffering is tough. We all miss her very much and even more so as the time ticks by but the memories we have of her, whether they be happy or sad will always live on with us. Shelley influenced each and everyone of us and many more besides.

Shelley, life somehow continues without you, my heart will never mend. 💔 Trev, your sisters and all the grandchildren, are helping me through even though they don’t realise it. My memories of you are still vivid thankfully. We learnt so much from you, pure inspirational love. We will love and miss you forever ❤️.”

Michelle did receive a new liver but sadly the transplant failed. However after being put on the super urgent list Michelle received a call almost immediately and was transplanted again.

Sadly after a month of various complications Michelle lost her fight. Michelle was surrounded by her family and peacefully slept fighting until the very end.

Sweet dreams Michelle and we continue to thank, and think of the amazing donor families who gave Michelle a fighting chance. 💞💞💞
