This time last year we were on our way to @kingscollegehospital after a 0505 call. This was the second call for the second transplant. By 1445 I was in theatre and my life was saved by a 75 year old woman. A lady we will never meet, but someone who registered to save and help the lives of strangers; people who would need it the most, at her time of leaving the world.
My second hero, with a selfless family, who allowed me, my husband and my family more time, more memories.
Today I think of both my donor families,
and all others, that have an empty space at the table.
From our home to yours, we send gratitude, love and warmth 🫶🏻🎄
