This is little Evie. She was referred to our hospice in 2020 following a diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy.

At that point Evie was clinically stable and therefore did not attend the hospice for care.

Sadly, in February of this year Evie’s health declined and her family were told that she was in need of a heart transplant. Until Evie receives a new heart she will remain in hospital.

Considering her circumstances, we’d like to raise awareness of organ donation – because the donation of organs to children is such an important topic which isn’t spoken about enough.
