This has been without doubt the hardest week since the first few weeks after the op. New meds, worrying about rejection, fearing getting a cold or tummy bug so not really getting to see anyone and general recovery, it’s a lot.

I’m really leaning into resting, controlling what I can control and being kind to myself. Poor Crawf is dealing with my day to day chaos and bringing ultimate patience as always.

I’m okay and getting through it but I want to be honest as I never want my recovery to come across as easy or for my posts to play down what a huge huge thing transplant is. I’m trying to be positive and approach everything as calmly as possible but recovery isn’t linear and some days are good, others are tougher.

However what I know is that I’m giving every day my best shot, celebrating any tiny win I can and trying to be honest with everyone around me.
