Shelly Cleek suffered eye-related issues for more than 40 years after her right eye was pierced by a piece of glass in a car accident when she was a teenager.

The long-term damage became so drastic that she began to experience vision loss and would eventually go blind without a cornea transplant.

But in early 2022, a 24-year-old tragically died in Texas. They were a donor hero and selflessly made Shelly’s cornea transplant possible. 💙💚

As a symbol of her gratitude to the hero who restored her sight, Shelly planted jasmine bushes to thank the donor and their family for giving her the opportunity to see clearly again.
