It was a true honor to be seated at the head table alongside the President, Board Members, and esteemed guests at the @americankidneyfund’s (AKF) Hope Affair.

When I first stepped into the world of kidney health advocacy, it was AKF who answered my call. Since that day, I’ve remained deeply committed to serving the renal community—answering every call to raise awareness, amplify voices, and offer hope.

Receiving the “Hero of Hope” Award at the 2023 Hope Affair was a moment I’ll never forget. And now, approaching the 7th anniversary of my life-changing kidney transplant, I’m filled with deep gratitude—for the gift of life, for the opportunity to serve, and for the community that has held me up every step of the way.

Thank you, AKF, for continuing to engage, include, and empower advocates like me. I will always use my voice to uplift this mission. 💙
