Now, in 2025, after working through the intense emotions of fighting to live and receiving such a profound gift, she shared that she has written to her donor’s family.

For donor families who are hoping to hear from your loved one’s recipient, please know this: they are deeply grateful. Sometimes the emotions are overwhelming, and finding the right words takes time.
