Donation has the power to transform and reinvigorate lives, and no one knows that better than double-lung recipient Kassandra Klemenz.

After a lifetime spent battling cystic fibrosis, Kassandra was 20 years old when she was told she would need a transplant to survive. In 2019, she was about to be placed on a ventilator when she learned a donor would save her life. 💙💚

Thanks to her transplant, Kassandra has nothing holding her back from living an acting lifestyle, including running, biking, hiking and swimming. She recently became the first American female double-lung triathlete after competing in an @ironmantri 70.3 triathlon and has her eyes set to join Team USA in the 2028 Paralympics!

And this is just the beginning for Kassandra, who carries unwavering gratitude every step of the way for the donor who gave her a second wind.
