December is always a reflective month for me. So many pre-transplant anniversaries live in this season. Tonight we are watching Home Alone, the tree lights are glowing and in front of me is the part of my life you don’t usually see. My pill box. My weekly routine. My reality.

Every single week I sit down and sort these pills. Some days I handle it fine. Some days it feels overwhelming. Some days I stare at it all and wish it didn’t have to be part of my life. But these pills are the reason I’m here. The reason I get to sit on this couch. The reason I get another December.

If you’re moving through something quietly, I’m holding space for you. You’re doing the best you can, and that is enough. 🤍

(Yes, those are Flintstone vitamins (with extra iron!))
