Day 28/365 of Kindness! 💚
Today I’m doing a simple act of kindness by sharing my friend Tracy’s post. Her friend Tiffany is in urgent need of a living kidney donor, and I wanted to help spread the word.

I also want to share a little information about organ donation, because it is so close to my heart.
There are two types of organ donation:
💚 Living donation — This often involves donating one kidney. You don’t have to be a direct match to the recipient, because many donations happen through a paired exchange or donor chain. Living donors go through a very rigorous health screening, and it is truly one of the most selfless gifts a person can give.
💚 Donation after death — When you sign up as an organ donor on your driver’s license, you are agreeing that if you pass away unexpectedly, your organs and tissue can be donated to save others. One person can save up to 8 lives through organ donation, and heal even more through tissue donation.
Right now, there are over 105,000 people in the United States waiting for a transplant, and kidneys are the most needed organ.
My challenge for you today is this:
If living donation is something on your heart, please consider learning more — Tiffany is in desperate need.
And if you’ve never signed up to be an organ donor after death, the next time you renew your license, please say yes.
My niece, Saramae, passed away in December 2024 and gave the ultimate gift of life to six other people. Her legacy lives on through them, and that is why donation means so much to me.
Give the gift. Live the legacy. 💚
